A Job Seeker’s Guide to Landing a Silicon Valley Job

By: Matt, August 14th, 2006

In browsing the usual employment-related sites and blogs that I visit almost daily, I find that much of the information is either of no value to a job seeker or it is information that almost every job seeker has seen and/or already knows. Today I found an article that I think offers a little bit more insight than most that I’ve seen geared toward job seekers and I wanted to put a link to it here so that anyone that actually reads this blog will have access to the resource. The article is by Guy Kawasaki and taken from his blog. If you have a few minutes for a fairly indepth description of how to approach a silicon valley job opportunity, or any job opportunity in a highly competitive environment, check out Everything You Wanted to Know About Getting a Job in Silicon Valley But Didn’t Know Who to Ask. It’s some of the more practical and applicable advice that I’ve seen specifically for technology job seekers, but many of the tips can be applied an array of competitive job opportunities.
