IT Talent Needed to Fill Maryland Jobs

By: mawist, September 14th, 2007

As the federal government continues to grow its presence in Maryland, the state is being asked to produce a growing number of job candidates with IT skills and backgrounds in math and science. Currently, the level of available IT talent in Maryland is not high enough to sustain the expected growth in the Department of Homeland Security as well as several other federal agencies that are staffed primarily by civilian professionals.

The much-ballyhooed Base Realignment and Closure process, or BRAC, is expected to create over 45,000 new jobs in the state of Maryland over the next several years. This is obviously a very good thing for the Maryland economy, but the shortage of IT talent in the area may be a stumbling block.

Our IT staffing firm services clients in and around Maryland and we are always happy to work with government agencies to meet their dynamic staffing demands. Please contact us today for more information about IT jobs and our IT staffing services in Maryland.
