Technology Jobs and Start-ups Move Beyond Silicon Valley

The Web 2.0 phenomenon, in much the same way as its dot-com boom predecessor, is based primarily in and around Silicon Valley. After all, that’s where the technology is and that’s where the people are that understand it, right? Makes sense. But recently, venture capital funds have been emerging outside of Silicon Valley and companies from New England to Israel are getting funding for their tech start-ups.
An article in today’s San Jose Mercury News has the numbers that support the article’s contention that the Web 2.0 concept is being sold all over the world. On the whole, venture capital funding is up, which is a good thing for the technology jobs market.
More venture capital will mean an increased demand for highly skilled IT professionals. If you are an IT professional, the market is moving in your direction. If you are in need of IT talent to supplement your workforce, you may need the help of a professional IT staffing firm to meet your needs. The technology jobs climate is continuing to change rapidly. It’s important that technology professionals and firms that require technology talent stay one step ahead of those changes.
